DBA - Application Modernization
Design and implement database systems.
Manage PostgreSQL databases.
Migrate the RDBMS to PostgreSQL.
Experience in GCP is an added advantage along with On Prem tools such as repmgr, pgbouncer, pgbackrest etc.
Ensure database performance, integrity, and security.
Monitor and optimize database performance.
Ensure data integrity and security(Bit of data model).
Understanding about Develop and implement backup and recovery processes in cloud.
Plan and execute disaster recovery strategies.
Collaborate with development and operations teams.
Automate database tasks and processes.
Perform database tuning and optimization.
Troubleshoot database issues and provide solutions.
Maintain database documentation and standards.
Implement database upgrades and patches.
Monitor database health and performance metrics.
Ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
Proven experience as a PostgreSQL DBA.
Familiarity with database tools and technologies (DMS, DMA, Schema conversion)
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with database automation added advantage liquibase,flyway,cron job.
Conduct database capacity planning.
Develop and maintain database scripts and tools. Automation scripts such as shell, psql, batch file.
Stay updated with the latest database technologies and trends.
Train and mentor junior database administrators.
