BI Developer

DP World are currently recruiting for a BI Developer to join a growing team. As a BI Developer, you will play a crucial role in building interactive dashboards for both operations and senior management, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of business operations, have a strong grasp of data analysis and visualization concepts, and demonstrate proficiency in utilizing Power BI to deliver impactful insights. This role can be REMOTE working anywhere within the UK or IRELAND. About the role: Key contact for regional management of the BI environment covering the technical aspects of BI Solutions Collaborate with operations teams and senior management to gather requirements for dashboard development. Translate complex operational requirements into meaningful data visualizations and dashboards using Power BI. Design, develop, and maintain visually appealing and user-friendly dashboards that effectively communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics. Perform data analysis and validation to ensure accuracy and reliability of the data presented in the dashboards. Identify and recommend improvements to data models, data sources, and visualization techniques to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of dashboards. Conduct data profiling and cleansing activities to ensure data quality and integrity. Work closely with data engineers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of data from various sources into Power BI. Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in data visualization, business intelligence, and Power BI functionality. Provide training and support to end-users Skills you will bring: Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred) in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; however, experience may be considered in lieu of education Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, follow up, problem resolution and facilitation skills while working with various levels of the organization Strong analytic skills for working with datasets to transform data and approach these problems in a creative manner Knowledge of various database platforms, data lakes/warehousing techniques, optimization with ‘big data’ storage, data modelling, BI system administration, scripting and app development Reverse engineering techniques of existing applications into BI tool Initiative — Job requires a willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges Adaptability/Flexibility — Job requires being open to change (positive or negative) and to considerable variety in the workplace Persistence — Job requires persistence in the face of obstacles Compensation DP World offers exciting and challenging roles within a growing international organization.
