Sales Director – FMCG soft drinks scale-up

Location: North West England

Salary around £115,000 + bonus + equity


Only five years post start-up, our client is a PE backed SME, FMCG business with significant financial backing, and already in the running for a £20m annual sales line in 2025. Led by an impressive Board, the brand range of soft drinks is a latest concept for a category busting community of consumers, adapting to the trends in lifestyles beverages, already a £multi billion category.


With the combination of an iconic brand, a 15 strong organisation now in place, the opportunity in this growing category all have one thing in common – genuine credibility. Now it has trained its sights on championing its product sector in the Out of Home and Leisure customer channels, whilst online and C&I channels boom!


This company doesn’t believe in barriers – you will have the autonomy to achieve that aim. In fact, you’ll experience the freedom of a truly can-do culture. You’ll be the wake-up call for an already established category worth in excess of £2bn annually and growing. By scaling up the UK operation and directing the sales vision, you will develop a sales process and route-to-market strategy. You’ll establish yourself as the customer and commercial expert within the company.


Hands-on, highly operational, the agility to deal with the ever-changing commercial landscape, as well as knowing your subject matter like no other, you will be no stranger to making an impact and contribution at pace.


An impressive sales background from a blue chip and SME environment as an experienced Sales Head level, within branded FMCG products, you are now ready to step up to a Board position with the confidence to build a sales function. Critically, you’ll also need hunger and raw determination, and be completely content with the idea of managing the growth in early-stage partnerships. You’ll be into the details and tactics as much as creating a vision for commercial growth. Your apparent knowledge of sales and customer marketing will ensure you carve out the future of this brand in the UK.
