We believe that investing in quality starts with investing in our employees, and we are committed to their development and growth.Role Overview:As the Sustainability Lead, you will play a critical role in supporting our operations and corporate sustainability efforts. Reporting directly to the Owner and indirectly to our preconstruction team, you will serve as a technical expert, leading internal and external stakeholders towards sustainable and compliant outcomes aligned with project requirements and our corporate ESG strategy. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic sustainability function that serves all business functions and needs.Responsibilities:Serve as the key contact for assigned projects/teams, providing expert sustainability advice and guidance.Contribute to the development and delivery of internal environmental sustainability training.Monitor and report on site environmental and sustainability performance.Support project teams in achieving environmental compliance and delivering organisational KPIs.Undertake regular site visits and inspections on assigned projects to ensure environmental compliance and best practice.Assist in writing and communicating site project environmental and sustainability documentation.Support project teams in understanding and achieving building and project certifications such as BREEAM and LEED.Manage the compliance and certification tracker to ensure evidence of compliance is maintained.Support the development and implementation of corporate sustainability strategies and objectives.Represent the company at public forums and events, advocating for sustainable practices.Requirements:Qualifications & Experience:Degree or similar in an environmental, social, or governance discipline.Experience in environmental and sustainability support within the construction industry.Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages and construction management software.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Desirable Qualifications & Experience:ISO14001 internal auditor certification.BREEAM Accredited Professional or similar certification.Experience conducting building certification assessments such as BREEAM or LEED.Experience in writing and updating business management system documentation.Core Skills & Other Requirements:Competency in Microsoft Office packages; Word, Excel, PowerPoint.Experience using construction management software.Proficiency in sustainability assessment and data reporting tools/software.Membership in a professional body linked to ESG or environmental disciplines.Valid driving license applicable to the region.Other Information:National travel may be required to fulfil the responsibilities of the role.This role reports directly to the Group ESG Director and indirectly to the preconstruction team.Join us in making a positive impact on our industry and the world.Apply now to be part of our team and drive sustainability forward
