Head of Finance

Chilworth Partnership are delighted to be retained by a rapidly growing Services business, based on the outskirts of Southampton, who look set to treble revenue in the next 2-3 years. As part of this anticipated growth, the business are searching for a Head of Finance to assist with the long term business plan and implement strategy. Reporting to the Co-Founders, responsibilities will include: Develop and implement company strategy, including the implementation and preparation of rolling forecasts, budgets and long-range strategic plans. Structure the finance department for business growth, be able to identify new efficiencies and guide efforts towards improved reporting. Production of management accounts including journal postings, variance analysis and associated commentary. Work with external accountants and ensure statutory requirements are met. Support M&A activities through acquisition modelling, due diligence and integration support where necessary. Monitor and manage cash balances, cashflow forecasting and invoice discounting. Develop strategies to increase company profitability and value. You will: Be a fully qualified Accountant holding ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification. Have experience of being in a hands on, leadership role within an SME environment. Feel comfortable implementing processes, controls and automation from scratch, enabling sustained business growth. Have experience of recruiting and managing a small team. Have extensive experience of influencing and challenging leadership teams, useful financial data to support arguments. Have experience of Xero - desirable, not essential. The business have implemented a flexible hybrid working policy.
