At Old Sessions House, we uphold the values of exceptional service, exquisite cuisine, and timeless ambiance to create unforgettable experiences for our guests.  We have coffee shop & bar for in-house members and private dining rooms for events.  The General Manager will manage 20 permanent staff + any casuals depending on events. Responsibilities: Service Above All Else: Embrace and embody our core value of "Service before all else," ensuring that every guest receives impeccable service that exceeds their expectations. Staff Appearance and Aesthetics: Set the standard for staff appearance and grooming, ensuring that each team member presents themselves with professionalism and attention to detail consistent with the ambiance of Old Sessions House. Building Aesthetics: Collaborate closely with the maintenance team to preserve the historic charm and aesthetic integrity of our building, ensuring that every detail contributes to the immersive dining experience we offer. Financial Management: Take ownership of weekly profit and loss statements, financial reporting, and cost controls to optimize revenue streams and enhance profitability without compromising on quality. Staffing and Scheduling: Develop comprehensive staffing schedules that balance operational needs with wage costs, ensuring that the right talent is available at the right times to deliver exceptional service. Opening and Closing Procedures: Oversee all aspects of the restaurant's daily operations, from meticulous set-up procedures to seamless opening and closing routines that maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and organization. Menu Development: Collaborate closely with our culinary team to curate menus that showcase seasonal ingredients, innovative techniques, and culinary expertise, pricing items competitively to maximize profitability while delighting our guests' palates. Signage and Presentation: Pay meticulous attention to the presentation of signage and marketing materials both inside and outside the restaurant, ensuring that they enhance the overall aesthetic and communicate our brand values effectively. IT and Systems Management: Serve as the steward of our restaurant's IT infrastructure, overseeing everything from reservations and point-of-sale systems to inventory controls and website updates, leveraging technology to streamline operations and enhance guest experiences.
