Interim Contracts and Procurement Advisor, c£40k, Central London (6 months FTC)

A prominent cultural institution with a national profile, renowned for its extensive collection and dedication to preserving and promoting art and culture. The Interim Contracts and Procurement Advisor will provide expert contracting and procurement support, ensuring compliance with regulations and maximising value for money. Working within the Finance team and reporting to the CFO. The role also involves reviewing current procurement processes and preparing for the implementation of the Procurement Act (October 2024).


Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement & Compliance: Ensure adherence to procurement regulations, develop a new procurement policy, and support staff in achieving value for money.
  • Contract Management: Review and enhance contracts, mitigate risks, and implement best practices in contract management.
  • Process Improvement: Support the CFO in reviewing and optimizing procurement processes for efficiency and alignment with best practices.
  • Training & Guidance: Provide training to staff on procurement, contract management, and negotiation best practices.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to support tender processes and manage e-tender systems.


Qualifications:

  • Experience in procurement and contract management (public/private sector).
  • Knowledge of UK public sector procurement regulations.
  • Strong negotiation, organizational, and communication skills.
  • MCIPS membership or equivalent experience (desirable).
