Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Dartford
Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 + Package
Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to take on a new challenge? We are working with a national Tier 1 Property Services Contractor, offering an exciting opportunity to oversee planned works within the social housing sector in Dartford.
The Role:As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the financial performance and contractual obligations of multiple projects. This is a senior-level position where you'll be responsible for ensuring cost control, value for money, and successful delivery across a portfolio of planned maintenance works.
Key Responsibilities:- Overseeing the commercial management of planned works, including budgeting and cost reporting
- Managing and mentoring junior members of the commercial team
- Preparing tender documents and evaluating subcontractor quotes
- Negotiating and managing contracts with clients and suppliers
- Delivering detailed financial reports to stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and contractual terms
- Supporting project teams to deliver works on time and within budget
- Proven track record as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in the property services or social housing sector
- Strong understanding of planned maintenance and refurbishment projects
- Ability to lead and develop a team
- Excellent contract negotiation and management skills
- Highly organised with strong analytical and reporting abilities
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualifications, with relevant professional memberships (e.g. RICS) preferred
- Competitive salary of £70,000 - £80,000, depending on experience
