An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Company Secretary to join the in-house function of a global corporate which employs of 30k people in the UK.This role supports the corporate function and leads on company secretarial and governance matters for the UK group entities. The successful candidate will be integral to maintaining statutory compliance and advising on corporate governance best practices.Key ResponsibilitiesEnd-to-End Company Secretarial Services: Manage the UK group's company secretarial functions, ensuring best-in-class practices and integration within the organization’s operations.Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.Statutory Records Management: Oversee the maintenance of statutory records and filings, ensuring timely submissions.Governance Advisory: Advise members and directors of the UK group subsidiaries on statutory responsibilities and governance issues.Team Leadership: Supervise and support the Assistant Company Secretary, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of relevant legislation and support the implementation of new or revised legal requirements.Required Skills and ExperienceChartered Company Secretary: Proven experience in company secretarial roles and legal entity compliance (circa 6-10+ years experience).In-House Experience: Experience in a professional services or large, complex organizational environment.Strong Relationship-Building Skills: Ability to engage and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.Organizational and Project Management: Highly organized, proactive, with excellent project and time management skills.Integrity and Professionalism: High levels of discretion and professionalism, maintaining strict confidentiality.Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Our client fosters a culture of collaboration and continuous development.
