The RoleHere at SecureCloud+ we are seeking a talented Technical Architect to join our team in a pivotal position based out of our Stoke on Trent site.The person we are looking for is an experienced infrastructure manager/engineer with excellent knowledge of Windows server OS’s, Microsoft Exchange, virtualisation technologies, server applications and server hardware. Someone who is looking to step into or continue working in architecture design within a secure, high assurance context.Role ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities include but are not limited to:Designing medium to large-scale architecture solutions ideally for Central Government and MoD projects as well as for large industry primes.Leading the technical design of systems and services, communicating design decisions + resolving complex technical design challenges.Ensuring that designs adhere to good data practices, compliance, regulatory standards, security frameworks and best practices relevant to highly secure government systems.Identifying and capturing non-functional requirements and ensuring that these are reviewed and addressed within technical designs.Helping to Shape and evolve our technical standards and principles relating to cloud, web and applications, through knowledge of emerging trends, collaboration and consultation with partners and internal technical teams.Background of using TOGAF or similar architecture frameworks and methodologies.Working with project managers and engineers to ensure a smooth transition from design to delivery.Education and Experience RequirementsAs the Technical Architect, you will have:Experience in TOGAF would be beneficial.Proven experience in on-premise infrastructure design.Experience designing infrastructure using some/all of the following technologies:VMware ESXi/vSphere/vCenter/vCloudGeneral Networks (switching, Routing & Firewalls)IDAM/RBAC/ABAC/MFAWindows Technologies (SharePoint, Exchange, Skype)SIEM, AntiVirus, Health MonitoringPKI/HSMData DiodesCross Domain GatewaysKnowledge of Secure by Design and Zero Trust Principles would be beneficialExperience working in a Defence setting would be advantageousExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal,Ability to produce documentation for CLD & HLD work.Excellent interpersonal skills as you will be part of a small team.Positive and enthusiastic attitude, with a pro-active approach to problem solving.Excellent attention to detail.Someone who enjoys a real challenge.UK Security Check (SC) clearance is required for this position. Candidates must possess or be eligible to obtain SC clearance, with a view to obtaining UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance as required.Already working with us?
