Senior Mechanical Engineer - Smart Implant Design Newton Colmore Consulting are working with a medical devices company based in Cambridge and they are looking to expand their R&D division by bringing on board an experienced Mechanical Engineer. This exciting new role will give a Senior Mechanical Engineer an excellent opportunity to work on cutting edge products at the forefront of the medical devices sector alongside world-class engineers and scientists. The company specialise in smart implant technology and your work would vary from developing novel ideas for real-time monitoring, such as sensor-embedded orthopaedic implants, through to pacemaker technology that links to your phone. You will be charged with designing and developing novel solutions to medical devices products, within a multidisciplinary team. You will be running project tasks to ensure the designs are both safe and reliable and meet ISO standards. This will involve researching into new areas and developing new solutions on complex technology. There is flexibility in this role to increase the seniority of the position to cater for candidates with management experience.
