Quantity Surveyor - Housing

Job Title: Company Quantity Surveyor Location: Barnsley Salary: Competitive + Benefits Company Overview: My client is a family-run, dynamic housebuilding company with big ambitions. They are currently building 40-50 high-quality houses per year and have developments in Rotherham and Huddersfield. With a focus on delivering excellence, they are looking for a team player who can take on a wide range of tasks and contribute to their growth. You will need to be based at the Barnsley office each day, with occasional site visits. Job Responsibilities: This role would suit an experienced Quantity Surveyor who is passionate about contributing to a growing family business. You’ll be part of a small, committed commercial team working on housing developments that range from 5 to 50 units across West and South Yorkshire. The successful candidate will work closely with the Construction Director and play an important role in shaping the future of the business. * Assist with various aspects of the business due to its family-run nature. * Collaborate with the team on award-winning housing projects. * Oversee cost planning, budget management, and procurement for housing developments. Key Requirements: * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in housebuilding. * A hands-on, team-oriented approach is essential. * Ability to be in the Barnsley office daily and occasionally on-site at developments. * Experience in delivering high-quality projects.
