PMP Technical Author

Job Title: Technical Author (Nuclear Contract) Location : Warrington (3 days onsite per week) Contract Duration : 6 months (Inside IR35) Job Description : We are seeking a skilled PMP Technical Author to join our team, reporting directly to the PMP Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Engineering Design and demonstrate proficiency in reading, understanding, and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, installation method statements, and risk assessments. A solid understanding of construction activities, ideally within a nuclear site environment, is essential. Key responsibilities include identifying and evaluating hazards across a broad spectrum of engineering, construction, and operational activities, with a focus on nuclear safety, conventional safety, environmental management, waste management, construction, security, resilience, training, operations, maintenance, testing, and commissioning. Key Responsibilities : Develop and manage high-quality technical documents in line with project requirements. Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and installation method statements. Identify potential hazards and ensure safety measures in relation to nuclear and conventional safety, environmental and waste management, construction, and operational activities. Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure accurate, clear, and compliant documentation. Contribute to risk assessments and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Work within a highly collaborative project environment, requiring strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Requirements : Proven experience as a Technical Author in an engineering or construction environment. Familiarity with engineering design processes and nuclear site operations. Ability to interpret complex technical documents and identify potential hazards. Strong understanding of safety, environmental, and risk management principles within nuclear and construction sectors. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Onsite presence required at least 3 days per week at the Warrington office. Travel occasionally required. Expenses will be reimbursed.
