Product Design Engineer

ROLE- Product Design Engineer LOCATION- Salisbury TERM- Permanent SALARY- £28,000 - £40,000, dependent on experience My client is a specialist product designer and manufacturer. They are looking for a Product Design Engineer to join their team in Salisbury on a permanent basis. The Product Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: Degree qualified in Product Design, Industrial Design or similar Interested in developing a career in Design Engineering / Product Design A sound understanding of Mechanical Engineering processes and materials Previous work experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment would be beneficial Be proficient using 2D and 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite etc. Experienced working with metal, wood and extruded materials  Hands-on technical experience through your course Able to work to specific requirements and deadlines Excellent attention to detail Organised with excellent communication and teamwork skills  The Product Design Engineer role will involve: Using CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings Producing fabrication drawings to bespoke requirements Communicating directly with clients to determine requirements Liaising with manufacturing providers Being involved in final assembly of products Creating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans Updating 3D models and drawings Checking drawings for sign off Working in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects  If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible
