Project Manager - Wealth Management Technology

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our client's Wealth Management division. The ideal candidate will combine a strong financial background, particularly in wealth management, with robust technical skills and experience in large-scale data migrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex technology projects within the wealth management sector, with a focus on large-scale data migrations
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues
• Ensure project alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements
• Provide regular status updates to senior management and key stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science, or related field; MBA preferred
• Proven experience (5+ years) in project management within the financial services industry, specifically in wealth management
• Strong technical background with hands-on experience in financial technology systems
• Demonstrated success in managing large-scale data migration projects
• PMP certification or equivalent
• In-depth understanding of wealth management products, services, and regulatory environment

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, MS Project, Jira)
• Strong understanding of database technologies and data migration processes
• Knowledge of wealth management platforms and financial reporting systems
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements in finance (e.g., GDPR, MiFID II)

Experience

• Minimum 7 years of project management experience in financial services
• Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale technology projects, particularly data migrations
• Experience working in or with wealth management firms
• History of managing projects with budgets exceeding $1 million and teams of 10+ members

Contract role paying up to £600 per hour
