The position involves technical analysis, such as root cause / failure, and working within a laboratory environment due to the products applications. ThisSenior Mechanical Engineer job will suit: ASeniorMechanical Engineer who is practically minded, with good communication skills, and has proven failure analysis experience. Hold a relevant engineering qualification.Degree educated or above. An understanding of tribology and products such as bearings / mechanisms would be useful, but not essential. Metallurgical laboratory experience, knowledge / experience of root cause analysis. Flexible approach in nature, enjoy problem solving to overcome engineering challenges. TheSenior MechanicalEngineerjob will involve: Acting as the lead / senior Engineer on projects relating to tribology. Performing mechanical failure/root cause analysis of mechanical systems. Problem solving to find solutions to associated engineering challenges. Produce written reports and be able to formally present project findingsto customers.
