Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant - Secondary School in Hackney Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a fulfilling new role? Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with a secondary school in Hackney to recruit a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to start immediately for the academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a dedicated team, supporting students with diverse Special Educational Needs. A strong work ethic and commitment to student development are key to this rewarding role, where you will help make a meaningful difference in students' lives. About the Role: As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your day will run from 8:15 am to 3:45 pm, Monday to Friday, term-time only. There may be occasional staff meetings after hours. You will work closely with the school's SEN coordinator and a team of skilled educators, providing support in both classroom settings and small group interventions. Key Responsibilities: Supporting students with a variety of Special Educational Needs (SEN) Assisting with the implementation of individualised education plans Working one-on-one and in small groups, helping students engage in lessons Encouraging and motivating students to reach their full potential Creating an inclusive learning environment through collaboration with the teaching teamRequirements: A graduate degree or equivalent qualification is preferred Some experience working with students or young people with SEN Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills Genuine passion for supporting students with special needs Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environmentKey Information: Full-time position: Monday to Friday, 8:15 am - 3:45 pm Competitive daily rate: £90-95 per day Term-time only position, immediate startWhy Join Tradewind Recruitment?
