We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior People Manager to lead our people-focused initiatives and foster a culture of growth, inclusion, and continuous development. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for people, a deep understanding of organisational psychology, and hands-on experience managing front-line teams. As a Senior People Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving our people strategy, ensuring that our employees feel supported, valued, and inspired to thrive within our organisation. This role is an integral part of the People Team and reports directly into the Chief People Officer. Responsibilities People Strategy & Development: * Lead and execute people-focused strategies that align with the company’s vision, fostering an environment of collaboration, innovation, and personal growth. * Champion employee development initiatives, ensuring that training, mentorship, and leadership development programs are in place to help staff reach their full potential. * Collaborate with senior leadership to define and drive talent management, succession planning, and workforce development strategies. Team Leadership & Front-Line Management: * Act as a trusted coach and advisor to direct reports, guiding them in their UBDS career as well as day to day management. * Leverage hands-on experience to effectively manage, resolve, and provide guidance on complex people issues, ensuring a fair and compassionate approach. * Build strong relationships with colleagues to ensure open lines of communication and foster a culture of trust and respect. Employee Engagement & Culture Building: * Design and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and overall well-being. * Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture where diverse talents and backgrounds are celebrated, and employees feel empowered to contribute. * Actively listen to employee concerns, acting as a bridge between employees and leadership to ensure transparency and responsiveness. Organisational Psychology & Well-Being: * Apply knowledge from psychology or organisational psychology to develop tailored strategies that enhance employee experience, mental well-being, and job satisfaction. * Partner with cross-functional teams to implement well-being programs, mental health support, and psychological safety initiatives across the organization. * Utilise data-driven insights to evaluate the effectiveness of people programs and make continuous improvements based on organisational and employee needs. Performance Management & Continuous Improvement: * Run the performance review process for direct reports, ensuring it aligns with development goals and promotes constructive feedback and continuous improvement. * Support managers in identifying areas for individual and team improvement, fostering a coaching culture that focuses on long-term success. * Drive initiatives to improve productivity and employee morale by proactively addressing challenges and optimising people processes. Qualifications & Experience: Education: * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, or related field is required. * Professional certifications in HR or People Management (e.g., CIPD, etc.) are an advantage. Experience: * Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in a People Management or Human Resources leadership role, with at least 3 years in a front-line management capacity. * Experience working in a consulting or professional services environment. * Proven success in building, developing, and managing diverse teams across various functions. * Demonstrated experience in driving people-centric strategies and programs that positively impact employee engagement, retention, and performance. * Experience working on a human capital management system (Bamboo HR preferred) Skills & Competencies: * Deep passion for people, with a focus on developing others and fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth. * Proven team player. * Strong understanding of organisational psychology principles and their practical application in creating a positive workplace environment. * Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, engage, and build trust at all levels of the organisation. * Analytical mindset, with the ability to use data to assess the impact of people programs and drive continuous improvement. * Conflict resolution expertise, coupled with a compassionate and thoughtful approach to employee relations. * High emotional intelligence (EQ) with a demonstrated ability to handle sensitive matters with confidentiality and professionalism
