Closing date: 10am on Tuesday 22nd October 2024 Salary: £27,500 per annum Contract: Full-time, permanent contract   An exciting opportunity has arisen for a smart newcomer to join Curtis Brown Creative's small team, which provides innovative and highly successful creative writing courses to aspiring writers, online and in London. You’ll be working full-time as part of our marketing and digital team, focusing on the promotion, advertising and marketing of all our creative-writing courses , as well as our Breakthrough Writers’ Programme for under-represented writers. You’ll answer queries from our growing community of aspiring writers and students through our help inbox, social media channels and phone calls. You will help create new website, blog and newsletter content that is relevant to budding writers, as well as continuing to grow our social media presence. You’ll be based at our central London offices, but please note we are currently using a hybrid working pattern which involves a minimum of three days a week in the office with some working from home, subject to ongoing review.   Knowledge, skills and experience We’d love to hear from you if you have: Confident, clear and sensitive communication skills The ability to write engaging, tailored copy Familiarity with Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Strong administrative skills and attention to detail in your work Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure Experience using social media (X/Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, TikTok and YouTube) Experience with website CMS and e-commerce systems Familiarity with Email marketing and CRM systems (E.g. Klaviyo, MailChimp) Strong planning and problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude A strong interest in the creative arts – particularly books and publishing And are: An innovative thinker with the desire to keep learning Digitally native and analytical A self-starter with a strong work ethic An avid reader A confident, warm personality – a person who inspires trust Enthusiastic to work in a small team – drawn to the flexibility, pace and creativity this enables   To apply Please send: Your CV A covering letter (please include details of the dates you are available to start) A sample blog post, written by you, which could potentially be used on the Curtis Brown Creative website. Interviews will be held from Monday 28 October (and will be held in person at our central London offices).
