Senior front-end engineer
Multiply is a company that provides personalised financial advice at scale to everyday people. We are currently in an exciting phase of growth, having secured funding from a strategic investor and are looking to scale our operations.
We are seeking an ambitious and hungry front-end developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of JavaScript/TypeScript, experience with React or similar tools, and a passion for building maintainable and high-quality code. You should also be a strong problem-solver, with a customer-centric attitude and a desire to learn new skills.
What are we looking for? Autonomy You love to work with people and also independently, bringing your own approach to problem solving.
Engineering fundamentals, with a passion for learning more As a front end developer, you’ll be able to write Javascript / Typescript code, and be used to building interfaces from designs. You’ll have familiarity with working on React apps and the wider javascript ecosystem e.g. monorepo tooling with pnpm, e2e tests with playwright etc. You’ll have strong opinions on what good, maintainable code looks like and be able to make a reality through code reviews and your own work.
Teamwork! You’ll be working with and learning from your team members. You need to be able to work well in a team environment, excited to learn from experienced colleagues and keen to pass on your own knowledge in turn. You should be great at communicating your ideas and thinking, even if you don’t always know the answer. You should be strong at giving and receiving feedback. Strong problem solving skills You’ll need to be excellent at working through problems in a structured, logical manner. Experience in finance is not essential, but familiarity with general concepts around money management will be useful.
Product focus At Multiply, everything you do will be focussed on ensuring customer satisfaction. You should be passionate about the products you build and the impact you can have.
