This company is a purpose-led business and a market leading supplier of external wall insulation and specialist render systems, with a long history of technical excellence in the industry, spanning over 40 years. Supplying both the newbuild and retrofit construction and refurbishment sectors, an exciting opportunity has arisen due to our continued growth in servicing the architectural specification sector. The company is therefore seeking a specification / technically orientated Area Sales Manager to help target and service this market in conjunction with the extensive exemplary technical support services the company provides and the established wider sales and marketing function. The Role Reporting to the Sales Director the successful candidate will be responsible for developing specifications an opportunities within both the New Build and Refurbishment sectors. The ideal candidate will have experience in specification selling construction products into this market and have tangible experience of engagement with architects, consultants, main contractors, developers and specialist façade installation contractors at all levels. The successful candidate will ideally have the following attributes to complement their passion for delivering measurable results: • Personal o Enthusiastic. o Dynamic. o Self-motivated. o Ambitious. o Demonstrate initiative. • Skills o Ability to engage with senior construction professionals, contractors and specialists. o Relationship builder. o Excellent communicator (verbal and written). o Presentation skills. o Basic understanding and experience of Microsoft Software and general IT literacy o Ability to work effectively alone and within a team environment • Experience o Understanding of the construction process and market. o Minimum 3 years working within a construction specification or technical sales role o Knowledge of the insulated facades and cladding market – preferred, but not essential. • Key Measurables Include (But not exclusively) o Performance Against £ Sales Targets o Performance By Customer o New Customer Development o Specifier Appointments o Specifier Presentations Location Ideally situated in the Midlands or North West but for the right candidate the location is not imperative. The role will be area based but may include servicing stakeholders outside of the territory allocated, potentially nationwide, and therefore may have a requirement for extended travel and/or staying away from home for short periods. Package Basic circa £50K (dependent on experience) plus performance related bonus + Company Car (or Car Allowance) + Laptop + Mobile Telephone. 25 Days Holiday plus England / Wales Bank Holidays
