Job Advert: SEMH Teaching Assistant Location: Croydon Salary: £90 to £110 per day (dependent on experience) GSL Education is seeking a committed SEMH Teaching Assistant to support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs at a special school in Croydon. The role is ideal for individuals with experience in working within an SEMH setting, who are dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of students with special needs. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs. Assist teachers in managing classroom behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment. Help students develop their social and emotional skills, enabling them to thrive academically and personally. Support the implementation of individual education and behaviour plans (IEPs and IBPs). Build trusting and supportive relationships with students to encourage their progress. Requirements: Previous experience working with students with SEMH needs is preferable. Strong communication and behaviour management skills. A patient and compassionate approach to supporting students with complex emotional and behavioural needs.
