Financial Controller UK – FTC (Maternity Cover)ProLabs (UK) is a global vendor of compatible optical transceivers, part of the Halo Technology Group. The group employs c.400 people globally. ProLabs (UK) Ltd and AddOn Computer Peripherals LLC merged in 2017 to create Halo Technology with further acquisitions during 2021 of Skylane Optics and Solid Optics / Alturna Networks (the Halo Brands). Since December 2021, Halo Technology is a division of Amphenol Corporation, a company listed on the New York Stock Exchange with turnover of ~$13.0bn a year.Halo is the world’s leading third-party optical transceivers business serving customers from its supply facilities and sales offices in the USA, Europe and Asia.We are looking to recruit an experienced, highly motived and team-oriented UK Financial Controller to join our team in a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a Team of 2 Finance Assistants. Ensuring the smooth day to day running of the UK finance Function, data integrity and compliance with UK GAAP, FRS 102. Analysing and interpreting data and trends to provide meaningful insights to drive business decision making and help to control costs.This position will be based at our UK office in South Cerney, Gloucestershire. The role will report to the Group Financial Controller.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for month end and year end close process for main UK Trading Entity ProLabs (UK) Ltd)Lead on accounting operations/processes, ensuring robust financial systems and procedures are in place and adhered toLead Audit of UK statutory accounts, and financial statements production. Ensure compliance with UK GAAP, FRS 102.Monitor departmental spend monthly to help control costs versus budgetPreparation of EMEA budgets and forecasts, and producing actual to budget variance analysis on a monthly basisPreparing information for UK corporation tax returns, and assisting in preparing forecasts for quarterly tax payments, where necessaryResponsible for adhering to Amphenol Corporate policies as well as monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements.Review of monthly Payroll and co-ordination of payroll with HR Manager, through to payment of salaries and employer related tax to HMRCAnnual submission of payroll returns; review of P35, P11D, PSA and other submissionsPreparation of all relevant VAT/Intrastat/EC sales list reporting. Preparation and review of monthly payment run.Additional Group Reporting Tasks:Monthly second review of monthly payrollAd hoc reporting, which may involve undertaking due diligence assignmentsSkills RequiredQualified Accountant (preferably ACA / ACCA)Intermediate to Advanced ExcelSelf-motivated Analyse and interpret data and trends to provide meaningful Insights to drive business decision making Attention to detail and problem solvingEffective CommunicatorAbility to work on own initiative or as part of a teamMaintain a professional and polite disposition at all timesBenefitsCompetitive Salaries and Benefits *This position is temporary due to maternity leave; duration will be between 12-18 months.
