Interaction Recruitment, Northampton are seeking a Kitchen Steward (Kitchen Porter / General Assistant / Commis Chef / Catering Assistant) to work full time in Buckingham as follows:
Role:
Permanent contract
5 out of 7 days per week
40 hours per week, starting no earlier than 07:00 and finishing no later than 20:00
Duties:
Supporting Chefs with food preparation
Keeping all areas including dining room clean, wiping surfaces, mopping floors and pot washing
Serving customers during busy lunch and dinner services
Serving customers at the counter using a till
Supporting with hospitality to include front of house duties
Candidate:
Must evident career history in the form of a CV with references
Will provide evidence of 3 year employment history and 5 year address history
Shall have prior experience working as a Kitchen Assistant, Front of House or Catering Assistant
Can communicate effectively both written and verbal
Ought to have an in date Food Safety certificate, minimum level 1
Should be a bubbly and outgoing team player with oodles of enthusiasm
Would have prior catering experience within the education sector
Will be organised and presentable with excellent customer service skills
Ideally holds a City & Guilds or NVQ in Cookery, a Level 2 Health & Safety and/or First Aid qualifications
Interview process:
You will be required to register with Interaction Recruitment following a successful meeting with Cheryl or Lucie in Northampton
You will then attend an interview on site with the hiring manager in Buckingham
