The Role: Iconic Resourcing are delighted to be partnering with DC Thomson in their search for an Office Manager. The successful candidate will be proactive and oversee the smooth and efficient operation of DC Thomsons Fleet Street office. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day office and facilities needs, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for both staff and visitors. You will work closely with senior leadership and manage reception staff, while also handling key tasks like meeting room management, event coordination, and building maintenance. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the main point of contact for the Senior Leadership Team and colleagues regarding all building facilities. Lead and manage reception staff to ensure consistent coverage and excellent service during office hours. Oversee the upkeep of communal spaces, meeting rooms, and office supplies to maintain a professional and well organised environment. Manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, and service providers, ensuring high standards are met. Conduct risk assessments, maintain health and safety standards, and act as a fire warden. Coordinate office layout changes, desk moves and assist in organising events and hospitality for both internal and external stakeholders. Monitor and manage office costs within the set budget, contributing to a cost-effective operation. What We're Looking For: Proven experience in an Office Manager role, overseeing daily operations within a dynamic office environment. An understanding of health and safety standards, building regulations, and facilities management. Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A methodical approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards. Experience managing budgets and coordinating with contractors is desirable. High level of attention to detail.
