Job Purpose / Position Description Reporting to the Ejection Seat Supervisor the Armament Operator will be responsible for undertaking maintenance on Crew Escape System and Armament components at the direction of the Armament Lead within the Ejection Seat Back-shop Facility, Aircraft Role Equipment Facility and the Maintenance & Finish Facility. Undertake detailed maintenance, test and inspection activities on the Ejection Seat, Canopy and Role Equipment for both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities. Assuring work carried out has been completed in accordance with the SOW/Work package using the relevant approved technical information. Resolving faults and maintenance issues, including an awareness of configuration management. Demonstrates a flexible and proactive attitude to carrying out responsibilities appropriate to the role and takes direction appropriately. Undertake fault evaluation and raise ad hoc work cards and for ‘found faults' during maintenance. Principle Accountabilities The accountability statements should deliver a detailed understanding of what the job does and what it is designed to deliver. Collectively the accountability statements should identify the 6 to 8 areas where a job must deliver outcomes. • Undertake and complete tasked maintenance & diagnostic activities on the Ejection Seat, Canopy and Role Equipment which may include, as appropriate, component removals, inspections, repairs, modifications, fault rectifications, replacements and/or functional/system test. • Demonstrates a flexible and proactive attitude to carrying out responsibilities appropriate to the role and takes direction appropriately. • Recording and signing for all work undertaken within the appropriate toolsets and System of Record • Progress reporting against delivery targets to supervisor. • Undertake support tasks within the Ejection Seat Back-shop Facility, Aircraft Role Equipment Facility and the Maintenance & Finish Facility that are required to maintain compliance with the MOE and AMC procedures (e.g. oversight checks, control of tooling/test equipment etc.) • Maintain personal Log Book to demonstrate currency and recency • Ensure personal compliance with the risk assessments, SHE policies and procedures. Functional Knowledge Requirements for knowledge of functional work and activities. Functional work and knowledge is usually associated with knowledge aligned to a DY function. • Understands the Regulatory Framework and explosives safety (MAOS Mil Part 145 and EaPW) • Requires broad and in-depth product knowledge/competency within own technical/subject area. • Awareness of how the team integrates with others in order to achieve the overall objectives of the area and demonstrates an understanding of the requirement for continuous improvement and its application. • Practical experience applying aviation safety standards and operating practices. Business Expertise Requirements of the job for knowledge and expertise about the business rather than the technical expertise.
