As a Senior Scientist at a leading CRO, you will be responsible for executing high-quality, efficient, and robust client projects. You will collaborate with top-tier and emerging pharmaceutical companies to deliver advanced therapeutic testing using our proprietary Skimune® immunology-based assays. This role involves developing protocols, sourcing materials, executing experiments, and analysing data, ensuring that all client needs are met with precision.

Key responsibilities for this role include:


Client-Focused Research:

- Develop and execute in vitro experiments using the Skimune® platform, including T cell proliferation and cytokine secretion assays (e.g., MSD, Luminex, DuoSet ELISA).

- Protocol Development: Design working protocols for advanced therapeutic testing, from project scope to final report delivery.

- Data Analysis: Conduct detailed data analysis, including tissue culture, mRNA expression, and cytokine analysis, utilizing automation and software solutions (e.g., ImageJ, Python, QuPath, R, Pivot Tables, Graphpad Prism).

- Tissue Processing & Assays: Perform tissue sectioning, embedding, and Skimune® assay development, with immunohistochemistry and cytokine analysis as required.

- Collaboration & Innovation: Work with internal teams and external partners to develop innovative preclinical assays and contribute to business/commercial activities.

- Scientific Communication: Prepare research papers, reports, and presentations; deliver findings to clients, internal teams, and at scientific conferences.

- Compliance & Quality Control: Ensure compliance with ISO 9001-2015 standards, maintain accurate records, and contribute to auditing and writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

- Mentorship & Training: Set a positive example for colleagues, mentor junior staff, and ensure team success by sharing knowledge and best practices.

- Business Development Support: Assist in identifying potential R&D opportunities, contribute to grant applications, and support external collaborations.


Essential Requirements:

Technical Skills:

- Expertise in tissue culture, cytokine analysis, toxicity, immunotoxicity and immunology-based assays.

- Familiarity with data analysis principles, including data sanitation and automation.

- Experience with immunohistochemistry, tissue processing, and advanced image analysis software (ImageJ, QuPath, etc.).

- Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis is a plus.


Soft Skills:

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects.

- Experience with quality control systems, including ISO9001.

- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.


Education & Experience:

- Advanced degree (MSc/PhD) in Immunology, Molecular Biology, or related field.

- Proven experience in CRO or pharmaceutical settings, working with advanced therapeutics.
