Financial Controller - Maternity Cover

We are delighted to work with a successful property development and investment company based in Central London looking to hire a Qualified Financial Controller to cover a 12-month maternity. This role will be based in the client's office from Monday to Friday from 9.30 to 5.30 To be considered for the role, you MUST be IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE and have relevant experience Key Responsibilities * Managing one direct report to ensure invoices and transactions are recorded * Approve the monthly management accounts, VAT and CIS returns * Preparing statutory financial statements and managing the external approval for Audit * Preparing and submitting tax computations for entities and SPV’s * Bank, loan and inter-company account reconciliations. * Lender and Investor reporting finance requirements and reports. * Budgeting and forecasting for corporate entity and SPVs. * Payroll (QuickBooks). * Processes and procedures within the finance team. * Advising CEO on, Tax planning and cash-flow issues * Liaising with external advisor's, tax advisor's and managing financial information flow. * All other ad hoc items relating to finance. Key Candidate Requirements * Fully qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA * Real estate accounting experience within development/investment companies. * Understanding of real estate accounting entries and policy/standards - UK FRS 102. * Good knowledge of accounting software - preferably QuickBooks and TaxCalc or similar packages. Key Competencies * Team player and willingness to learn. * High level of attention to detail. * Strong technical and commercial awareness. * Identifying areas of improvement.
