Assistant Technical Manager

Alexander Steele continue to partner with an exceptional food business that supplies a range of quality, luxury products into major UK retailers. Due to growth, the business is looking to appoint an Assistant Technical Account Manager at their site in Bedfordshire. On offer:Salary is £30,000 to £35,000 DOE33 days holidaysMatched pension schemeHealthcareThe role:Reporting to the Technical Account Manager, the Assistant Technical Account Manager will provide technical support to the wider business and the businesses retail customers. Key responsibilities;Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with key customers and be the main point of contact for any technical queries or enquiries. Work cross functionally with the following teams, quality, commercial, procurement, NPD and operations to ensure that the company's quality standards are upheld. Be confident using QMS daily.Creation of weekly KPI reports.Specification, artwork and label approval.Visit suppliers to ensure quality standards are met. Support and take part in technical projects.Ensure customer portals and systems are up to date and maintained. The candidate:Hold a degree in Food Technology/ Science or recognised food safety qualifications.Experience working in a food manufacturing environment - Minimum of 2 years.Good working knowledge of Food Safety Systems is desirable.Knowledge of the UK food industry and legislation is essential.Has HACCP knowledge and other appropriate professional qualifications.Be able to multi-task and work well under pressure against tight deadlines.Be analytical, interpersonal and the ability to be able to influence others at all levels effectively.Numerate, literate with intermediate IT Skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.If you feel that this is the role for you, please apply with an up to date CV.
