Company Overview:

Our client, a renowned Tier 1 main contractor, is seeking an experienced Construction Director to lead and deliver a flagship £180M project in Central London. Key Responsibilities:

• Take full responsibility for the delivery of a £180M construction project, ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of project managers, site managers, and other key personnel to ensure operational excellence.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, consultants, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies.
• Develop and implement robust construction strategies and plans, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to mitigate any issues that may arise.
• Lead contract negotiations, cost management, and value engineering efforts to optimise project outcomes.
• Oversee the procurement process, ensuring the selection of high-quality suppliers and subcontractors.
• Drive the project’s financial performance, ensuring profitability and effective resource allocation.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Extensive experience in a senior leadership role within the construction industry, ideally with a Tier 1 main contractor.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects, ideally over £100M in value, in urban environments.
• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to inspire and manage large teams.
• Excellent commercial acumen and experience in contract management, cost control, and value engineering.
• Thorough knowledge of construction methods, health and safety regulations, and building codes.
• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
