They're open to seeing a wide range of profiles and backgrounds ranging from Junior level to Senior. They're also willing to provide a lot of training and development. It's an opportunity not to be missed! JOB SUMMARYThe Robot Programmer will be responsible for completing the setup and installation of robots from a single robot to multiple robot cells. Successful candidates will possess programming capability, as well as have demonstrated experience with good troubleshooting and startup support. Promoting good communication within the robotic department as well as other departments to ensure a quality product is essential. The Robotics Programmer will ensure all equipment is in a working order and will assist and train other robot techs as required.ROLE RESPONSIBILITESThe role involves but is not limited to:- Program robot paths, set up program structure and implement offline programming Configure robot IO (Input / Output), weld interface and program call Set up structure for robot programs Provide robotic support and training as required Develop and control program structure as jobs progress Work on Robot drawings and configurations Train and work with other programmers to enhance skill level Read and interpret electrical blue prints, schematics and specifications Order materials for Robots Anticipate and solve robotic problems (troubleshoot) Operate various tools and equipment including precision equipment (testers), megger, scope Fastening down of tooling and robots Work closely with Robotic Supervisor regarding projects, monitoring workload and deadlines Perform assigned tasks in a safe manner and know how to properly lock out all energy sources, including stored energy Program, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial robotic systems. Collaborate with engineers and production staff to understand and define programming requirements. Develop robot programs using native programming languages. Collaborate with the automation team to integrate robots into existing manufacturing systems. Test and validate robot programs to ensure proper functionality and performance. Identify and resolve programming issues, including debugging and optimization. Document programming processes, procedures, and changes for reference and training purposes. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in robot programming Uphold the principles of the employees charter Adhere to the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, Including, but not limited to: Taking reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and others; co-operating with Managers or any other person, to perform or comply with any requirement or duty imposed under a relevant statutory provision; To not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided in the interests of health, safety and welfare. Any other duties as reasonably requested. EXPERIENCEEssentialQualified to a minimum HNC level or equivalent in Manufacturing /Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering Minimum 3 years’ experience in programming robots Hands-on experience programming robots ABB / Kuka / Fanuc Good understanding of IO, transfer of information between Robot and PLC, and PLC functionality Good understanding of robot program flow and basic programming theories Knowledge of ISO 10218-1 and ISO 10218-2 robotic safety standards and how they apply Experience in robotic spot welding, mig welding, material handling is required Practical experience and good understanding of electrical circuitry and wiring Sound mechanical ability to work on robot dress packages and peripheral equipment Computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel and Autocad Proven ability and willingness to train and lead others DesirableMore than 5 years’ experience in programming robots Previous Automotive T1 experience Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python. Familiarity with PLC programming and automation technologies. Simulation experience using Process Simulate Experience using robotic manufacturers native software; RobotStudio, Kuka.Sim, RoboGuide Experience with laser welding, roller hemming, dispense applications PERSONAL ATTRIBUTESGood interpersonal skills with demonstrable problem solving expertise Work collaboratively to achieve project/company goals Flexibility to travel within Europe and beyond Ability to effectively communicate and build relationships Comfortable to work at pace to deliver solutions Self-driven with a can do attitude Analytical approach to seeking solutions Effective communicator both written and verbal in English Eligibility to work in the UK WORK ENVIRONMENTPlant conditions necessitate exposure to heat, cold, dust, hot objects, and loud noises within our manufacturing environment. Full Health and Safety training and PPE provided for all conditions.This role will likely require extended periods of time away from the base location to install, commission and assemble manufacturing cells.
