About the role
Join us at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) as a Senior Guidance Editorial Manager. As part of our Clinical Quality team, you will lead the editorial management of RCOG guidance documents, including Green-top Guidelines and Patient Information, ensuring they meet the highest quality standards. Working closely with clinical experts and a team of editors, you will play a crucial part in producing evidence-based guidance that informs and shapes clinical practices worldwide.
Responsibilities:
Provide editorial leadership for RCOG guidance documents.
Develop and implement editorial quality standards and operational procedures across guidance formats.
Manage the internal reporting on the guidance work programme.
Oversee the quality assurance process for guidance and patient information.
About you
You are a proactive editorial professional with previous engagement in producing, editing and quality assuring clinical guidance. You excel at working collaboratively across teams, managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines and communicating effectively with both clinical and non-clinical stakeholders.
Requirements
Background in editorial roles within healthcare or publishing sectors or practical understanding of working on clinical guidance
Proficient in quality assurance processes, including proofreading, copyediting, and ensuring accurate reference citations in guidance documents
Management skills, including team, programme and line management, progress reporting and improving work flow.
