An up and coming, medium sized housing developer are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their small but growing close knit team. A sister arm to a larger construction contractor, this housebuilder sits in a well-backed position with a healthy pipeline of sites and funding for future land opportunities. The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will be joining a house builder that have 5 sites currently in Ringmer, Bolney, Banstead, Newick, and Horsham. This developer are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor who is an all-rounder, capable of handling estimating, buying, and surveying on jobs, and overseeing the entire lifecycle of projects. The average sale price at around £800k - £900k. Further schemes are in the pipeline for 24/25, with all areas covering Surrey and Sussex. The Senior Quantity Surveyor The successful Senior Quantity Surveyors experience should come from a house building background, one who has had the autonomy in running schemes of a similar nature. The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor should have: Undertake the full range of quantity surveying duties, including estimating, buying, and surveying on jobs. A good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and the ability to learn how to use specialist software. Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills.  Ability to build credible relationships with customers, suppliers, technical specialists, and subcontractors. The ability to work in a team or as an individual. The ability to negotiate. Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work. Good negotiation and planning skills. Ability to interpret strategic information and contribute to the development strategy. Ability to manage shifting priorities within tight timeframes.
