Manufacturing Engineering - Jig & Tools Tool Design Lead

As a Jigs & Tools Tool Design Engineer, some of the tasks and responsibilities you can expect may include Support the creation and modification of tooling and machines used in Airbus plants for the manufacturing of aircraft plants Support the creation of Jigs and tools technical specification Support the creation Jigs and tools notifications and material numbers (Configuration management) Analyze the Design of jigs, tools, machines and systems (models and drawings) Manage technical documentations Responsible for guiding the design team for designing and developing tooling solutions or design modification of the existing tool to improve manufacturing processes and product quality. Technical co-ordination within the team in India, Europe or UK End to end interaction with the customer related to technical issues, technical clarifications or manufacturing feasibility, whenever it is required The corresponding KPIs must be achieved Required skills We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience: - Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or in an equivalent Engineering discipline or demonstrated experience in technical industry especially in Aerospace Tooling. - Experience in Airbus – Jigs & Tools projects - Knowledge of Airbus Jigs, tools, machines and systems manufacturing and design rules and processes - Good knowledge of Airbus tools VPM/PDM/AIRINA/3D JUUMP - Understanding of product Design and assembly processes particularly in Fuselage or Wing. - A good level of proficiency in Catia V5 - Good knowledge in Metallic and composite part design and development. - Experience in NC programming would be an advantage. - Experience in stress analysis using hand calculations would be an advantage. - Good written, verbal and communication skills. - Knowledge of Interchangeability an advantage. - Expertise in GD&T application. - Experience in CADDS5 or CCD would be an advantage. - Knowledge of Primes / MDMR an advantage.
