Site Technician

Firstfield Electrical are looking for a new Site Technician to join the growing team. Based in Stowmarket, Suffolk, we are a well established Electrical and Mechanical company concentrating on Industrial works including Hazardous Area and Process control. The successful applicant should have a grounding in electrical installation with applicable qualifications, and a minimum of 4 years Technician level experience, a knowledge of technical standards, Codes of Practice and legislation. Previous experience of ATEX installations would be ideal and exposure to PLCs and automation would be an advantage, although training will be provided for the right candidate. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this role along with the ability to build effective relationships with all parties involved in the projects. An attractive hourly rate is on offer to the successful candidate based on experience and 6% company contribution to pension. The role is site based, and paid door to door with one hour unpaid break per day, the core hours of work (site hours) are usually Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm. As the role involves visits to client premises a full clean UK driving licence is essential. All equipment provided beyond hand tools.
