Job Title : Driver/Operations Generalist Location : Based in London, with deliveries across London, Reading, Basildon, Essex, and occasional country-wide routes Reports to : Operations Manager Salary:  £26,000 - £28,000 per annum, with the potential to rise to £30,000 based on performance after successful completion of a 3-month probation period. Position Summary : We are seeking a reliable and efficient  Driver/Operations Generalist  to join our dynamic team at NOSH. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the transportation of meals from our suppliers to various locations and customer sites across London and surrounding areas. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for delivering samples to clients nationwide, as well as occasionally assisting with general warehouse duties and meal preparation when not on delivery. Key Responsibilities : Deliveries and Collections : Safely and efficiently transport meals from the warehouse to designated vending machines and smart fridges in hospitals and other locations across London, Reading, Basildon, and Essex. Collect meals from suppliers and deliver them to the NOSH warehouse. Deliver sample meals to customers across the UK, ensuring timely and professional service. Maintain accurate delivery and temperature logs and ensure proper documentation of deliveries and collections. Replenishing Vending and Smart Fridges : Ensure all smart fridges and vending machines are regularly replenished with fresh meals. Remove expired or near-expiry meals in line with the company’s FIFO (First In, First Out) stock management system. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of vending machines, including basic troubleshooting if required. Meal Ordering and Supplier Liaison : Coordinate with suppliers to place orders for meals according to company needs. Track and record meal orders and ensure they meet company specifications and timelines. Communicate with suppliers to address any discrepancies in orders or deliveries. Warehouse and Meal Preparation Assistance : Assist with the preparation of meals, including defrosting, packaging, and stock management when not on delivery duties. Perform general warehouse tasks, such as inventory management, stock rotation, and ensuring cleanliness and organisation of storage areas. Vehicle Maintenance and Record Keeping : Ensure that the delivery vehicle is regularly maintained, cleaned, and roadworthy. Monitor vehicle temperature during deliveries, ensuring that the correct conditions are maintained for food safety. Keep logs of vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and any maintenance or repairs performed on the vehicle. Requirements : Essential - Valid UK driving licence  (preferably with previous experience in a delivery role). Basic understanding of food safety principles (Level 2 Food Hygiene certification preferred but not required). Strong communication skills for liaising with suppliers and customers. Ability to follow schedules and meet deadlines efficiently. Flexibility to work in both driving and operational support roles as needed. Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting and moving stock. Attention to detail in record-keeping and adherence to company procedures Quick learner, able to adapt to using our smart fridge systems and other company technologies efficiently Familiarity with Microsoft Office/Google Suite for basic reporting and data entry. Preferred Experience : Previous experience in a delivery role, particularly in food transportation or logistics. Experience with stock management or working in a warehouse environment. Health and Wellness budget Working Hours: As we are a start-up, start times may vary day-to-day depending on delivery schedules and operational needs. General working hours are approximately 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, but some days may require an earlier or later start, depending on the route. Flexibility is key, and as you grow familiar with your routes and responsibilities, you will have the freedom to manage your schedule to ensure all deliveries are completed within the required timeframes. Some days may finish earlier, while others may extend slightly beyond the usual hours. Interview Process: This is a two-stage interview process. The first interview will be conducted with the Operations Manager, followed by a final interview with the Co-Founder.
