Core Systems Network Engineer The Opportunity: My client are a telecommunications company who are currently on the lookout for core systems network engineer on a permanent basis where you will be working within a close-knit team that are at the forefront of my client’s transition into an established Internet Service Provider.You will need to take a DevOps first approach, where you will be involved in ongoing deployments and continuous improvement works to increase capacity as the company grows the subscriber base. You will be heavily involved in the software and hardware lifecycles for Core Network managed devices, including vulnerability management and patching; and ideally you will need to be comfortable with using Automation techniques to enable the above activities.Skills and Experience:Configuration of core network equipmentWorking on range of network types including FTTP, Fixed Wireless and MobileAssisting Core Systems Manager/Network Manager when requiredStrong knowledge of Automation - Ansible/using API’s to integrate network servicesProgramming and scripting skills (Python, Bash, PHP)Juniper experience or certified to JNCIP-SP or Cisco (CCNP) equivalent level.MPLS, LDP/RSVP/SR experienceCoS/QoS implementation knowledgeBGP/ISIS/OSPF experienceExperience in a multi-vendor network environment – HP/Aruba, Dell, FortinetPlease call John here at ISR on 07719 919 860 to learn more about our sector-leading client and this great new opportunity?
