About the Job The Senior Sales Manager UK is responsible for leading and managing the performance of the Rooms & Events Sales and delivering the budgeted rooms revenue for the Maxx Royal brand with particular focus on Maxx Royal Bodrum. The Senior Sales Manager will create and activate the sales and recommend growth efforts, monitor progress, and ensure that the brand is correctly positioned within the Luxury UK marketplace. Job Responsibilities Responsible for working closely with the Global Commercial Director and Marketing Manager for Luxury Trade to drive business needs and expand existing business through promotional efforts and sales channels. Create and implement sales plans and provide insights for the marketing plans to ensure they accurately interpret and support the objectives of the business and use these plans to focus the sales efforts for development of sales influenced segments, including Corporate, Luxury Consortia, high-end Leisure, Entertainment, MICE and Groups & Event Sales. Set targets for achieving these goals including necessary reporting. Working with the operations team on the development of sales influenced segments Develop an understanding of the brands full commercial strategy to ensure targets are met Develop relationships with our revenue management and reservations teams in our organization in order to sell our properties effectively. Understand current market conditions to ensure the hotel remains competitive (including fair market share through STR). Monitor demand, identify business risks/opportunities and introduce sales activities to maximize opportunities and mitigate risks to the business. Gather intelligence. Research customer attitudes and concerns shifting among our key customers that may affect future revenue. Be the expert in the UK market Understand and be able to target the UK MICE market Understand and be able to target vertical markets. Prepare and participate in domestic trade shows, familiarization trips and exhibitions as well as trade related organizations. Produce accurate and timely reports that meet the needs of the Global Commercial Director. Work closely with the Event Manager and Revenue Director in preparing forecasts, and function space yield maximization. Work closely with the Marketing and Communications team to align strategies towards target customer groups and segmentation. Collaborate in developing the annual business and marketing plan in conjunction with the Global Commercial Director and Marketing Manager Qualifications 5 years’ experience in a Sales position with experience in the UK market Relevant degree in sales, business development or other relevant business field from an academic institution. Assertive, professional and positive with a proven ability to develop business Full understanding of the UK luxury hotel market. Must be able to work independently and maintain a positive attitude within a very busy environment with a proven ability to innovate. Excellent presentation skills. Commitment to deliver a high level of customer service. Strong analytical skills to understand key business indicators and competitive trends and develop solutions to these challenges. Excellent selling capabilities and the ability and desire to coach selling techniques to Team Members. Excellent organizational and planning skills. Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations Ability to work well under time pressure and/or demanding travel schedules A passion for sales and target-based performance. Flexibility to travel, host FAM trips globaly.
