Are you an experienced Estimator looking for a new challenge? Contract Scotland are working with a large main contractor based in Livingston to source an Estimator to join their team. With a reputation for excellence, this reputable contractor will give you the opportunity to work on a range of complex projects across a variety of sectors, including commercial, healthcare, industrial, education, and more. As an Estimator, you will play a key role in the pre-construction phase of building projects, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing for tenders. You will be responsible for assessing project specifications, managing cost estimates, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders to deliver cost-effective and high-quality proposals. You will be responsible for (but not limited to): - Preparation of cost estimates. - Take-offs from drawings. - Production of high-quality and cost-effective tenders from first principles. - Effective risk analysis. - Attending client meetings. - Establishing the requirements of clients and offering recommendations/solutions. - Liaising with Commercial, Contracts, Planning, Design and Operation departments. To be considered for this role, you will have demonstrable estimating experience within the construction industry, strong knowledge of Scottish supply networks and material prices, and a degree in Quantity Surveying or alternative Built Environment discipline.
