Job Title: Site Engineer Location: Various Piccadilly Line Stations - Hyde Park Corner, Leicester Square, Northfields, Cockfosters Start Date: 18/11/24 Working Hours: 0700hrs to 1630hrs Duration: 16 weeks initially Rate of Pay: Site Engineer - circa £250-£300 per day Project Overview: The Piccadilly Line Upgrade Project is focused on substation works, which involves working within strict safety protocols due to electrical hazards. This project requires precision, adherence to safety, and the ability to work under specific conditions. Some sites will require a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). Role Description – Site Engineer: We are looking for an experienced Site Engineer to join the team. The role involves overseeing construction activities, interpreting designs, setting out, surveying, and ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety regulations. Key responsibilities include: * Design Implementation: Interpret and implement designs, explain them to the site team, and raise technical queries to the client. Identify design issues in advance and communicate delays to the commercial team. * Site Setting Out: Perform accurate measurements using tools like tape measures, laser levels, and distance meters. Collaborate with designers if adjustments are needed. * Safety & Compliance: Enforce health and safety regulations with a goal of zero incidents. Perform monthly site inspections, weekly close-call reporting, and ensure the workforce adheres to safety standards. * Supervision & Communication: Provide clear technical advice, conduct site briefs, and keep comprehensive site records. Submit daily reports and manage site resources efficiently. * Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections, aiming for zero snags and "right first time" results. Oversee Intrusive surveys, core drilling, and concrete breakouts as required. Qualifications Required: * Sentinel Card * LU WSI plus Substation Pass * CSCS/CPCS * Relevant engineering qualifications PPE Requirements: All operatives must provide their own safety-toe cap (STC) boots. Additional Notes: * Personnel must be punctual; late arrivals may not be admitted to site. * Full participation in Safety Observations and SOS briefs is mandatory. * Flexibility across Piccadilly Line sites is essential as program demands may change.
