My client is an international convention centre in Northern Ireland a unique, vibrant, and flourishing business events destination. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious sales professional to lead the sales efforts of a world-class venue, helping to shape its future growth and success. Location: Belfast Position: Head of Sales Salary: Competitive About the Role: As the Head of Sales, you will play a key role in driving revenue growth, securing new business opportunities, and expanding the centre's reputation as a premier destination for business events. You will manage and develop the sales team, set ambitious targets, and foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Lead the sales team to achieve and exceed revenue targets. Generate and close new business opportunities, contributing to the overall growth of the company. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners, anticipating and meeting their needs. Manage the performance and activities of the sales team, including setting and driving sales targets. Oversee sales pipeline management, CRM, and ensure accurate reporting on key metrics. Deliver high-quality, professional presentations at a senior level, both internally and externally. Travel regularly to meet clients and stakeholders, as required. Essential Criteria: Qualifications: 3rd level qualification in a relevant field (Marketing, Business, or equivalent). Experience: Minimum of 4 years in sales and business development with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets. Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with experience pitching to senior stakeholders. Management: Proven ability to manage a sales team and drive sales targets and pipeline management. Technical Proficiency: Competent in Microsoft Office Suite and experience preparing professional management reports and presentations. Travel: Must hold the right to travel without restriction and a full drivers license. Flexibility to travel on a regular basis is essential. Desirable Criteria: Experience in the MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and events) market. Strong client and industry networks. Knowledge of Belfast as a business events destination. Familiarity with Belfast's tourism and hospitality industry and key stakeholders.
