Join Sciterion and make a difference in healthcare.We are now recruiting for a Principal Medical Writer.The roleAs a Principal Medical Writer, you will develop scientific expertise across therapeutic areas, working in partnership with our Client Services and Creative teams. You will provide high-level medical writing support across these accounts alongside mentoring members of the medical writing team.Core duties and responsibilitiesMaintain a high quality of medical writing with excellent briefing and reviewing skillsAssist with the promotion of quality control processes and proceduresDevelop an understanding of new therapeutic areas quickly and comprehensivelyBuild an understanding of client and competitor products, therapy areas, portfolio, and clinical and commercial strategy in the context of the current marketKeep up-to-date with industry codes of practice/legislationAct as the Technical Lead on designated client projectsPlan your workload and contribute to resourcing for your teamWork collaboratively with account team members to ensure that all account objectives are metBuild relationships with clients and/or external expertsIdentify opportunities to maximise existing client accountsAssist with the development of proposals and present at pitches when appropriateWhen appropriate, contribute to development of project specifications, cost estimates, and reconciliationsMonitor project costs against agreed budgets and notify the Client Services team of any changes to the specification at the earliest opportunityThe personProven medical writing experience within a healthcare communications agency, with knowledge of a broad range of communications activitiesThe ability to tailor your writing style appropriately for different target audiencesLife science degree educated, ideally with a higher qualification MSc or PhDIn-depth working knowledge of the pharmaceutical industryStrong organisational, time management, and people skills
