Driver LGV

Job Description:We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Newry, Mourne and Down to assist with the appointment of a Driver LGV, on a 2-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.Rate of Pay: £13.02 - £16.39 per HourResponsibilities:Drive and be responsible for the operation of a refuse collection vehicle or skip collectionvehicle for the purpose of the removal and disposal of refuse and recyclable material.Responsible for ensuring with the crew, the best operational relationships between the service and members of the public, and that the crew observe Council policies and procedures and operate efficiently to work schedulesClean up spillage, loose refuse and litter debris in any area whether arising from skip collection operation or refuse collection and disposal of waste in an appropriate manner at designated disposal point.Take note of any premises that appear to have a refuse storage and/or prevention problem and alert the Refuse Supervisor in this regard.Report bins damaged or not emptied in accordance with procedure, giving necessary detail relating to same. Affix detail to bin affected. In the event of any lost bin, notify Supervisor to daily report sheet.Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
