This position is based in Bristol and offers the flexibility of mostly remote work, with occasional site visits required. Requirements are scheduled to run until 31/03/2025The successful candidate will be required to:Provide weapons safety management expertise.Lead on the safety aspects of the programme and is responsible for the delivery and maintenance of safety artefacts.Evolveand advise the safety programme to de-risk delivery and capitalise on opportunities.Work for assigned delivery teams to produce safety and environmental artefacts to time and quality requirementsThe Safety Manager shall advise the team to ensure the programme will deliver artefacts to demonstrate that policy, legislation and defence regulation have been met and that assets are demonstrably safe.The Safety Manager shall be the team focal point. As a result, will be required to represent the team at required safety engagements, including regulatory interface, and have the ability to brief up and down.The Safety Manager will be responsible for the day to day activity, delivering against agreed activity and tasks.ESSENTIALExperience required in delivering OME safety and environmental artefacts.Experience required in compiling safety case evidence, authoring safety case reports and hazard logs.DESIRABLEMaritime Combat Systems ExperienceWorking with WeaponsEnvironmental management (POEMS).eCassandra.Fault and Event Tree (FTA / ETA).JBRP1_UKTJ
