Engineering Manager

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager to join our client at their manufacturing facility in Hull. Working Monday to Friday daytime hours, you will be responsible for leading the engineering team regarding all aspects of maintenance and repair of their plant and equipment on the shop floor. Key responsibilities: * Driving continuous improvement to minimise downtime, increase efficiency and enhance production effectiveness * Implementing and overseeing projects * Promote and encourage a positive safety culture within the team * Investigate issues through root cause analysis * Update maintenance training manuals and procedures and convey improvements and changes to the team * Maintaining the engineering expenses budget and producing regular reports The candidate: * Experience of managing a team in an FMCG environment essential. * A knowledge of advanced preventative maintenance techniques * Mechanically biased maintenance skills required although multi-skilled candidates will also be considered. * Proficient in data analysis and reporting skills * Budget management capability and knowledge On offer: * A full time permanent position working Monday to Friday although flexibility on hours essential as you will be part of a 24:7 manufacturing operation. * Car allowance * Excellent benefits package including generous contributory pension, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, healthcare scheme.
