IT Support Field Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Support Field Engineer to join our reputable client.The IT Field Engineer will visit Education sites in North-West London – Barnet, Hillingdon and Ealing (the majority of travel is in Hillingdon). The successful IT Field Engineer needs to have their own vehicle.The company is extremely keen on having motivated employees keen to learn new technologies and progress in their careers.IT Field Engineer – Summary:Working alongside ICT coordinators, you will have excellent communication skills and be reliable and punctual but above all personable. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in the field on their own, but with the support of a team of technicians.As an ICT Field Engineer, you will be responsible for visiting a number of primary schools on a rota and carrying out hardware/software installations, basic administration, health checks, fault troubleshooting, minor repairs, and maintenance of peripherals and network infrastructure.IT Field Engineer - Essential Requirements:Knowledge of Active Directory and Group PolicyTroubleshooting network connectivity issues including wirelessEnthusiastic with strong customer facing qualitiesAbility to prioritise jobs and approach them in a logical mannerAbility to explain issues and solutions in plain English to non-technical usersHighly motivated using own initiative and common sense to tackle issuesOwn transport requiredCRB/DBS desirable but will be required (we will pay for DBS check on commencement of employment) Experience and familiarity with the following software;Windows Server 2012R2/2016/2019/2022Windows 10, 11Office 2013/2016/2019/365Experience with the following would be beneficial but not essential;Office/Microsoft 365Google GSuite for EducationApple School ManagerManaged switches – Cisco, HPJob roles and responsibilities;Troubleshoot and repair issues with the following; Servers, Desktops, Laptops, Interactive Whiteboards (Smart and Promethean), Speakers, Amplifiers, Printers, Visualisers, Cameras, Scanners, Photocopiers (connectivity only – not repair), tablets (iPads, Windows Tablets), Chromebooks.
