We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) to join our growing team in Chichester! As we continue to expand, we’re seeking a skilled VDA to help us maintain our reputation for excellence. About the Role: As a Vehicle Damage Assessor at Steer Automotive Group, your key responsibilities will include: * Damage Assessment: Accurately assess vehicle damage, including electric and hybrid vehicles, using Audatex to calculate repair costs and time estimates. * Liaison: Regularly communicate with insurance engineers and customers to provide precise damage assessments. * Standards and Specifications: Ensure that all assessments align with BSI PAS 10125 standards and manufacturers’ specifications, using the appropriate repair methods. * Workload Management: Plan and manage your workload to meet agreed service level agreements (SLAs) and deliver repairs on time. * Quality Focus: Maintain a high standard of work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring customer satisfaction is always a priority. * Teamwork and Independence: Work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team. About You: We are looking for a VDA with substantial experience in estimating damage costs for accident repairs. You should be confident using Audatex and have experience working with a variety of vehicle types, including electric and hybrid models. What You Bring: * Proficiency in using Audatex for accurate damage assessments. * Experience in estimating repair costs for all vehicle types, including hybrid and electric. * Strong organisational skills, with the ability to plan and prioritize workload effectively. * High attention to detail and the ability to meet high standards in a fast-paced environment. * A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work both independently and within a team. * Flexibility and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service. * Ideally, an ATA qualification in Estimating (we offer support for its renewal and ongoing training).
