We are working directly with a world renowned quantitative trading firm, his team oversees all of the distributed systems relating to the trading platforms at the firm. Currently they are building a number of brand new features and systems for the platform with the goal of developing and optimising the core infrastructure of their distributed trading platform. The role involves building low-latency microservices that handle real-time data at scale, ensuring performance and reliability under high load.
They need engineers with strong modern C++ (11/14/17) expertise and experience working on distributed systems—addressing challenges like concurrency, fault tolerance, and consistency. Given the challenges they are facing, experience from big tech or similar environments is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and build microservices and distributed systems using modern C++ standards (C++17/20).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex performance and scalability issues in a highly complex distributed environment.
- Ensure high availability and low latency while delivering new features to production efficiently and securely.
What You Bring:
- 4-8 years of experience in backend development, particularly in distributed systems and microservice architectures.
- Expertise in modern C++ (ideally C++11 or later).
- Experience with multithreading, concurrency, and working on high-performance, real-time systems.
