Business Intelligence - Amazon Logistics: Have you ever ordered a product on Amazon and when that box with the smilearrived you wondered how it got to you so fast? We manage the delivery of tens ofmillions of products every week to Amazon’s customers, achieving on-timedelivery in a cost-effective manner to deliver a smile for our customers. Amazon Logistics is looking for a customer focused, analytically andtechnically skilled Business Intelligence Engineer to drive effectiveperformance measurement and management, innovation and execution in last miledelivery. This position will be responsible for leading a BIE team buildingout analysis and visualization tools and processes’ to support our growingAmazon Logistics business in Europe and WorldWide. The successful candidate will be able to effectively retrieve, integrate,visualize and present critical data to improve the efficiency of the packagedelivery network, and enable efficient management of a large global logisticssystem. This individual will work with technical and business teams tooptimize planning, execution, process improvement and track progress againstgoals. This role requires an individual with excellent analytical abilities aswell as outstanding business acumen and comfort with technical teams andsystems. The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable withambiguity, with strong attention to detail, and enjoy working with large scaleof data. Core Job Responsibilities include: · Partner with internal stakeholders across multiple teams, gatheringrequirements and delivering complete solutions · Partner with Data Engineering and Software Development Engineers toprioritize and define AMZL data and BI development needs · Work with in-house scientists, global supply chain, transportation andlogistics teams to identify new BI capabilities and projects · Conduct deep dive investigations into operations execution and businessproblems, identify opportunities, and lead or support implementation (rolevaries by opportunity). · Analyse and visualize large scale geo-spatial logistics and transaction datato determine user behavior or delivery process problems, and output solidanalysis report with recommendation. · Serve as liaison between the WW Planning and Analytics team and theoperations business teams to achieve the goal of providing actionable insightsinto current delivery performance, and ad hoc investigations into futureimprovements or innovations. This will require data gathering andmanipulation, synthesis and modeling, problem solving, and communication ofinsights and recommendations. · Develop queries and visualizations for ad-hoc requests and projects, as wellas ongoing reporting. ### BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Experience in analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQLetc. - Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similartools - Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines - Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab - Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse andscripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling - Experience with SQL - Experience in the dataBI space ### PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift - Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a businessenvironment with large-scale, complex datasets Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
