Health And Safety Advisor

James Gray Recruitment are actively seeking a Health and Safety Advisor on behalf of our client, a well respected Civil Engineering contractor to join their team in Renfrewshire. Our client: * A leading civil engineering contractor, renowned for delivering high-quality infrastructure projects across Scotland What you’ll be doing: * Provide expert advice on health and safety matters to ensure compliance with current legislation and company policies. * Conduct site inspections and audits to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective actions. * Develop and review risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work. * Investigate incidents and accidents, produce detailed reports, and recommend preventive measures. * Lead and participate in health and safety training for site teams and ensure that staff are fully aware of safety protocols. * Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure a safety-first culture. * Stay up to date with changes in health and safety legislation and industry standards. What you’ll need to be successful: * NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) in Occupational Health and Safety. * Experience in a health and safety role within the construction or civil engineering sector. * Strong understanding of UK health and safety legislation and regulations. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels. * Full UK driving licence.
